Joe Scarborough Basically Admits He’s the Only Conservative Anywhere at MSNBC

During a CPAC interview with the conservative Media Research Center, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough basically admitted that he’s the only conservative employed by the cable news network — except, of course, some of the people who work for him.

“It seems like the liberals outnumber you significantly [on Morning Joe],” MRCTV host Dan Joseph said to Scarborough.

After laughing, the MSNBC host replied, “It’s like five-on-one, baby, but, guess what: That’s what makes it a fair fight.”

Asked whether there are any other conservatives on- or off-air at the network, Scarborough initially avoided answering by pivoting to the lack of conservatives throughout the major networks for many years.

“But at MSNBC, you can’t think of anyone there in the upper echelon, besides yourself?” Joseph pressed again.

“Well, yeah, I mean, people who work for me,” Scarborough replied.

The host then slightly changed the subject to big “changes” coming to MSNBC, including “the need for diversity” of opinion. “We need to hire people that went to community colleges, we need to hire more veterans, we need to hire cops,” Scarborough said. “If we’re going to be reporting on police shootings, we need to hire people who have actually been cops.”

His filibustered answer was strange, we should note, because there is at least one other conservative: MSNBC contributor Michael Steele.
