John Sununu: Iraq Hypotheticals Are ‘Dumb’

 

sununuFormer New Hampshire Governor and Fox News regular John Sununu said Monday that the Iraq hypotheticals cable news hosts have been asking GOP presidential candidates are “dumb.”

“When you ask a question ‘knowing what we know now,’ nobody knows what you mean,” Sununu said, questionably.

“Does that include knowing that the bulk of Saddam Hussein’s sarin gas went to Syria, where Assad is using it? Does it mean that we know that Obama was going to fail to get a Status of Forces Agreement and pull our forces out and create chaos in Iraq that sets the tone for why that question’s being asked?”

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush was tripped up last weekend when Megyn Kelly asked if he would have invaded Iraq “knowing what we know now”; Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) did the Florida nine-step with the question on Fox News Sunday yesterday.

“It is an easy question for journalists to ask,” Sununu said. “It’s a dumb question for a journalist to ask.”

Some of those journalists happen to work for the network on which Sununu was appearing, but hey.
