Judge Doesn’t Believe Local Anchor’s Thong Underwear Constitutes A Business Expense
Columbus-based anchor Anietra Hamper received some bad news: the myriad expenses she’d attempted to deduct from her taxes were ruled to be “invalid and personal,” meaning she now owes the IRS $16,492 in back taxes for underwear of various types, gym membership, clothing, teeth whitening and more… plus a penalty of $3,298. That’s right: against all odds, Hamper has officially lost her tax case.
Hamper, you may remember, had attempted to write off various beauty, fitness and other personal products as necessary to maintaining “a neat, professional, and conservative appearance” in her job as a news anchor.
Below, check out Hamper in action. Those teeth whitening sessions should totally have been deducted, we think. They really helped make that microwave popcorn segment… pop. Tip your waitresses, folks:
