Kayleigh McEnany Makes Case Against First Amendment After Jimmy Kimmel Suspension: ‘Charlie Kirk Has No Amendments Now’
Former Trump press secretary and Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany shrugged off the First Amendment argument after late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension from ABC as she asked, “What about all the amendments that Charlie Kirk lost?”
Appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime on Thursday night, McEnany said she’s been tuning into liberal networks since ABC yanked Kimmel’s show, and has never heard them care more about the U.S. Constitution.
“This has nothing to do with the First Amendment,” McEnany told host Jesse Watters. “This has to do with the business decision, as you noted. And for all the concern about the First Amendment, the First Amendment, they’re apoplectic. Jesse, what about all the amendments that Charlie Kirk lost? Because Charlie Kirk has no amendments right now. None.”

JESSE WATTERS: You know, it’s funny. Kimmel is saying it’s our guy that shot Charlie. It’s probably his guy that shot Charlie. I mean, I don’t know if he was a fan of Jimmy Kimmel, but, you know, to go out there and pin assassinations like that falsely when we all know the facts, you can’t do that. You can’t do that in this country. You can’t do it anywhere. It’s just a shame. And he should know better as a grown man in show business, people are acting like, you know, he’s just some homeless guy screaming things on the corner. This guy is at ABC. When’s the last time ABC tolerated much, let alone this?
KAYLEIGH MCENANY: Right? You know, I’ve watching some of the liberal networks. I’ve never heard them care about the constitution so much. Their First Amendment, First Amendment. This has nothing to do with the First Amendment. This has to do with the business decision, as you noted. And for all the concern about the First Amendment, the First Amendment, they’re apoplectic. Jesse, what about all the amendments that Charlie Kirk lost? Because Charlie Kirk has no amendments right now. None. And the outrage I see over Jimmy Kimmel, I wish I would have seen that for the death of a father and a husband who should still be here.
WATTERS: Yeah, they got their priorities all out of whack, and it’s not going well. We’re just going to put it nicely. It is not going well. Well, we hope maybe maybe Jimmy comes back and and Greg can still beat him. Kelly, good to see you.
MCENANY: Thanks, Jesse.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended on Wednesday after he referenced the suspect in Kirk’s assassination, saying two days earlier in his monologue: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”
