Kimmel’s Guillermo and Mariachi Band Respond to Trump’s Mexico Comments

Last week, 2016 GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump announced his candidacy and — in a speech only the Donald could deliver — proceeded to trash all over everyone, including Mexico. Specifically, he went on a tangent during his televised address in which he claimed Mexican immigrants were bringing drugs and crime. Also, he said, they were rapists.

Since then, many have responded to Trump’s comments with just as much (if not more) ire. The Mexican government and Hillary Clinton have both ridiculed him, and someone even made a “Donald Trump piñata.” But perhaps the best response so far came from Guillermo Rodriguez on Wednesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. With a three-piece mariachi band playing “America the Beautiful” behind him, Jimmy Kimmel‘s security guard and sidekick delivered a bilingual rebuttal in English and Spanish, though mostly the latter.

And just in case you’re wondering, the answer is no — Guillermo’s spoken words and the captions beneath him don’t always match up. Not that Trump would know.
