Krauthammer: Hillary’s ‘Cringeworthy’ Snapchat Joke Belies Her Lack of Control

PicMonkey Collage - KrauthammerDuring the Iowa Wing-Dings Dinner this weekend, Hillary Clinton joked about her email scandal by saying that she loves her new Snapchat account because, “those messages disappear all by themselves.” Charles Krauthammer was less-than-impressed by Clinton’s attempt to laugh things off, saying that her statement was an attempt to hide what’s really going on.

“It shows you once again how bad a candidate she is. That attempted self-deprecation about Snapchat was cringeworthy,” Krauthammer said. “It doesn’t work. If she had the charm of her husband it might work, but she doesn’t.”

Krauthammer went on to say that the joke, as well as the scandal itself, was part of the Clintons’ consistent effort to maintain secrecy and control. Now that that control has been taken out of her hands, Krauthammer said, it will be up to the FBI to dig through the server and see what she tried to scrub away.

Even so, Krauthammer said it will be up to the president at the time of Clinton’s indictment to decide what will happen, saying the current DOJ is going easy on her.

“They keep a double standard. They allow it to drag on so that she can get away with it,” Krauthammer said. “I would suspect that she would be least in jeopardy of being indicted, but surely exposed as having said a lot of things that aren’t true.”
