Late Night Host Pete Holmes Seeks Maddow for Advice and It Gets Weird Really Quickly

Pete Holmes is the newest voice in late night comedy, and to get a better feel for how the TV business works, he sought out Rachel Maddow for some words of wisdom, but they ended up just talking about their height, their hair, and how little Maddow knows about men’s naughty bits.

More seriously, Maddow told Holmes it’s good to make a list of people you trust, because once you get a TV show, people are going to come out of the woodwork pretending to be your friends.

And that was the only constructive part of the entire chat.

Maddow talked about her insane height disparity with her girlfriend and what it’s like being in a “functioning lesbian relationship.” Holmes assured Maddow she’s not missing much about the world of men, and that’s when Maddow said, “I know very little about male genitalia.”

It went on like that for a while, ending with Holmes asking Maddow if she’s ever done mushrooms.
