Marilyn Mosby: ‘I’m Not Going to Litigate This Case in the Media’
Ever since she charged six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray, Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has faced an intense media spotlight. She’s been questioned on conflicts of interest, criticized for acting too quickly and overreaching, and the lawyers for the charged cops have been fighting to get her off the case.
And now she’s facing questions over filing a gag order to keep Gray’s autopsy out of the public eye (which failed) and, ast of last night, the allegation she specifically ordered police to patrol the area where Gray ended up clashing with the cops.
Well, in speaking with Fox 5 DC’s Emily Miller this afternoon, Mosby dismissed questions about recusing herself and said, “I’m not going to litigate this case in the media… I’m not going to discuss my evidence or strategy.”
Miller brought up the aforementioned patrol order and told Mosby she just wanted to ask, generally, to respond to that report. Mosby still insisted, “I cannot talk about any of the specifics of this case.”
