Moskowitz Emerges from Hunter Biden Testimony and Declares, We ‘Are Witnessing the Death’ of the Biden Impeachment Inquiry
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) not only savaged Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Wednesday, the lawmaker also predicted the move will doom the GOP’s efforts to retain the House in November.
Hunter Biden testified before the House Oversight Committee in a closed-door deposition on Wednesday, with Republicans and Democrats taking turns going before the media to spin the testimony from the presidential son. For more than a year, House Republicans have investigated Hunter Biden’s business dealings while hoping to find evidence that his father illicitly benefitted from those enterprises while in office. So far, they have found none.
The impeachment inquiry was dealt a blow this month when a former FBI information was charged with lying to the Bureau about the Bidens receiving $5 million in exchange for political favors when the elder Biden was vice president.
Speaking to reporters outside the Capitol, Democrats assailed Republicans’ efforts while claiming Hunter Biden’s testimony yielded nothing for Republicans to hang their hat on. Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) introduced Moskowitz, who misidentified Raskin’s position before making a prediction about the 2024 elections.
The Florida Democrat kept his remarks brief:
Thank you, Chairman Raskin – soon to be Chairman Raskin, very soon. Let me say that I think my colleagues and I are witnessing the death of the fake, faux, frivolous Joe Biden impeachment inquiry. In fact, as a Jewish-American, when this is over, I will say, “Mourner’s Kaddish” for this impeachment inquiry. There has been no evidence on Joe Biden from the beginning. There has been no evidence so far in this deposition linking Joe Biden at all. So, as Jay-Z said, “Grand opening, grand closing.” Thank you.
