MSNBC Parts Ways with Goldie Taylor

MSNBC contributor Goldie Taylor took to Twitter earlier today to share some bad news:

#BREAKING After 4 years, I am leaving MSNBC. I will long appreciate the opportunity afforded me to give voice to the voiceless. +

Taylor has been a regular voice on MSNBC for the past few years, and provided some details about the reason for her departure and her current state of mind:

+ I will always value your love + generosity, Twitter.

I was not offered a new contract. The only thing constant is change. +

In the coming hours + days, I will take some time to survey the road ahead and the work yet undone. +

I do not know what is next for me, but I know that I will devote more time to writing– to telling untold stories. +

And while she told one person she doesn’t have her next move entirely planned out yet, Taylor knows there’s one place that she can completely rule out:
