MSNBC Puts Up Wrong Housekeeper While Reporting on Brady Bunch Actress Death
With the sad passing of Ann B. Davis, who played housekeeper Alice Nelson on the classic TV show The Brady Bunch, comes the inevitable tragedy of cable news personalities mixing her up with the late-’90s parody version of the 1960s TV housekeeper.
MSNBC first reported on the death of Davis during Jansing & Co., but instead of airing a photo of Davis, they showed a photo of other old white actress Henriette Mantel, from her role as Alice Nelson in the 1995 version of The Brady Bunch, but this blatant, senseless confusion is a SIGN OF RACISM MICRO-AGGRESSION OR SOMETHING.
Later in the show, host Chris Jansing apologized for airing the wrong photo, and featured the correct picture:
“And there’s the Ann B. Davis we know and love,” she said.
