MSNBC Tweets Ad Featuring A Wired Steve Kornacki Pulling an All-Nighter With A Busted Hand

MSNBC is paying homage to Steve Kornacki, who covered Pennsylvania’s nail-biting special election in which Democrat Conor Lamb narrowly edged out Republican Rick Saccone in energetic fashion Tuesday… into Wednesday morning, without pause.

The network released an ad in which a caffeine-fueled Kornacki does “quick maths” and balances a laptop on his forearm because his hand is encased in some kind of medical mitt — all the while talking at the speed of light, capturing every moment of the action. When they tweeted it out, MSNBC wished Kornacki well as he recovers from surgery on the “hurt paw.”

In the ad, Kornacki’s coverage is timestamped with the coffee he had at the time to keep himself going through the 22-hour marathon, starting at 7:24 AM on Tuesday and ending at 5:22 AM on Wednesday. The ad ends with MSNBC’s tagline, “This is Who We Are,” in a sort of salute to Kornacki’s grit and commitment.

Kornacki tweeted at the end of the whirlwind election thanking those who stuck around with him until the wee hours of the morning:
