MSNBZzz? Ed Rendell Seemingly Falls Asleep During Chris Matthews Interview

During a segment of Tuesday afternoon’s Hardball on MSNBC, former Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA) seemed to get a bit too cozy as Chris Matthews quoted Winston Churchill and asked questions about the ongoing IRS scandal.

In the below video, you’ll notice that as Matthews teed up his question to New York Times reporter Nick Confessore, Rendell’s eyes began to close and open repeatedly… growing heavier… until… finally they remain closed.

Around the 19-second mark, the camera then cuts away to a single shot of Confessore; and so we’ll never know for exactly how long Rendell snoozed.
