NHL Player Suffers Cardiac Event, Collapses on Bench During Game
A hockey game between the Dallas Blue Stars and the Columbus Blue Jackets halted Monday night when Rich Peverley, one of the Stars players, collapsed on the bench. Late last year Peverley was out for a few weeks undergoing a procedure to fix his irregular heartbeat, and he’s now been taken to the hospital after collapsing at the game in Dallas.
The Stars sent out tweets letting people know what happened; Peverley was having a cardiac event.

Per Dr. Salazar, Peverley was aware of where he was when became conscious and wanted to get back in to the game.
