‘No Means No!’ NFL Redskins Exec Cuts Off Interview

Senior Vice President for the Washington Redskins Tony Wyllie handled things in the strangest way after his team pulled out an overtime victory Monday night.

A reporter for ESPN Deportes, a Spanish-language sports channel, was in the middle of interviewing Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy when Wyllie dashed over to cut it off.

As captured by one user of the social media app Vine, Wyllie was seen pushing his way between McCoy and the reporter, only turning back to yell, “No means no!”

UPDATE — 11:42 p.m. ET: NBC sports blog Pro Football Talk has comment from Wyllie explaining the matter:

He said that Sutcliffe (the ESPN Deportes reporter) had provided no prior notice of a desire to interview McCoy on the field after the game. Wyllie said that Sutcliffe nevertheless tried to interview McCoy, Wyllie told Sutcliffe no, and then Sutcliffe proceeded to start the interview anyway.

The plan was to get McCoy to the locker room for the post-game comments from coach Jay Gruden.
