Piers Morgan Takes Another Stab at Jon Stewart?
Sunday evening during the Emmy Awards, it seemed as though CNN host Piers Morgan once again attempted to jab at Daily Show host Jon Stewart.
Morgan’s animosity towards Stewart came to light last week when he publicly aired his grievances with The Daily Show‘s constant mockery of CNN’s breaking news coverage:

Stewart has yet to respond. But that didn’t stop Morgan from seemingly attempting to continue the (one-sided) feud. When Stephen Colbert and his Colbert Report crew won the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Series, ending The Daily Show‘s 10-year stranglehold on the award, Morgan wrote that “it’s over for Jon Stewart”:

Of course, that tweet could be interpreted as matter-of-fact. “BREAKING NEWS”? Sure, in entertainment circles. But if the responses are any indication, most followers read that as mocking Stewart’s own mockery of CNN’s breathless “breaking news” reports. “It’s over for Jon Stewart”? Again, that is true. The “streak” has, indeed, ended.
But given the context of last week’s tweet, in which Morgan warned that Stewart could soon lose his gig to fill-in host John Oliver, it’s not all that outlandish to think this was another attempt at a jab.
