Sen. McCaskill: Ted Cruz Follows Trump Around ‘Like a Lost Puppy’

There's something unseemly about Cruz following Trump around like a lost puppy,hoping to get his leftovers when he finally flames out.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has been making eyes at 2016 rival Donald Trump. Cruz defended the celebrity plutocrat after his racist remarks about undocumented immigrants, met with Trump last week, and was the only major GOP candidate not to denounce Trump’s comments about Senator John McCain (R-AZ) this weekend. All of which has led the chattering class to conclude that Cruz is hoping to inherit Trump’s followers after the fiery candidate inevitably self-immolates.

But, as McCaskill’s tweet shows, you’re not supposed to be that obvious about it.
