Stephen Colbert Asks Christiane Amanpour Same Questions He Asked Psychic Cat “Aman-purr”

Christiane Amanpour appeared with Stephen Colbert last night and in addition to sharing her thoughts on Colbert’s psychic cat correspondent Christiane Aman-purr, also gave some serious answers about the ongoing situation in Egypt. Colbert was impressed by how quickly the “microwave revolution” took place in Egypt and Amanpour explained that the Internet can help speed up a freedom movement.

Colbert humorously asked Amanpour a few additional questions including wondering “how scared should I be of [the Muslim Brotherhood] on a scale of 9 to 10?” and what might be the next country in the region to fall? Amanpour suggested it depends on “how many people are willing to die, and how many troops are willing to obey orders to shoot.” The two also sarcastically argued whether Egyptians have the genetic disposition for democracy, but most of all, demonstrated that the usually serious Amanpour is able to lighten up and laugh every so often.
