Terrifying Video Shows Patient Attacking Nurses with Metal Pole in Minnesota Hospital

Terrifying video released by Minnesota police shows a patient chasing and attacking hospital nurses with a metal pole late Sunday evening. The suspect, Charles Emmett Logan, 68, died almost immediately after being taken into custody.

According to KARE-TV of Minneapolis, one nurse suffered a collapsed lung and another fractured her wrist during the attack. Surveillance video shows a group of medical workers desperately running to get away from the assailant as he swung a large metal object at them, landing a few blows.

When police found Logan, reportedly three blocks from the hospital, they attempted to subdue him with a Taser gun, but failed. It allegedly took three officers took wrestle him to the ground. An autopsy is scheduled to figure out why he became unresponsive and passed away almost immediately after being arrested.

Hospital staff familiar with Logan claim he had experienced a recent shift towards delusional, paranoid behavior while in for treatment.
