‘That’s Hilarious!’ CNN Anchors Mock Hillary Clinton’s ‘Not Truly Well Off’ Claim

As Mediaite readers should know by now, Hillary Clinton reiterated her claims that she and her husband are “not truly well off” on Sunday in the Guardian. On Monday morning, CNN’s Early Start anchors Miguel Marquez and Alison Kosik found her remarks laughable.

“She told the Guardian newspaper her and her husband are still, quote, ‘not truly well off,” Marquez said. “Really?”

At the same time, Kosik let out a hearty chuckle. “That’s hilarious!” she added, punctuated with more laughter.

The pair then expressed some skepticism at Clinton’s suggestion that she’s not like other multi-millionaires because she achieved it through hard work.
