The 5 Most Frank Luntz Moments of Frank Luntz’s Race ‘Focus Group’

Republican pollster Frank Luntz is a step closer to achieving what appears to be his ultimate goal of having the participants of one of his “focus groups” literally eat each other alive on national television.

On CBS This Morning Thursday, Luntz hosted a 15ish person group (the optimal size to really get his finger on America’s pulse) to discuss race relations in America. What proceeded was a dizzying, caustic display of humanity that perfectly complimented your morning coffee.

Here are the top four moments from The Ricky Lake Show Luntz’s “focus group”:

1. When the very first person to pipe up was a guy who blames crumbling race relations in America on President Obama.

2. When Luntz inserted himself to be “candid” and say he doesn’t know whether to call black people black or African-American.

3. When a black former police officer, referring to the Ferguson incident, said, “you get what you get” if you put your hands on a police officer.

4. When all pretense came off and an actual hate crime almost took place in-studio.

5. When one of the participants, playing right into Luntz’s hands, discarded her own ability to reason and said, “I don’t care about the statistics.” That’s okay, we’re not trying to learn anything here anyway!
