Trump Adviser Mocks AOC’s Bartender Past: ‘You Were in a Bar… Not to Have a Drink, But to Serve One’

Trump White House adviser Alina Habba mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for working as a bartender before her time in Congress on Thursday during a conversation about Ocasio-Cortez’s intelligence.

After Fox News host Sean Hannity remarked, “Jasmine Crockett and AOC and the Squad seem to be leading the ‘intellectual thought’ of the Democratic Party,” Habba replied, “What intellectual thought, Sean? The last I saw, they’re dancing down the halls of Congress. I’ve never seen anything like this, I’m watching TikToks of crazy things. They’re singing, they’re dancing.”

“Well, you didn’t see me, but I did quotes,” responded Hannity. “And I love when AOC lectures Elon Musk about not being intelligent. I’m like, ‘Oh, she’s such a genius, I’m inspired by her every word.'”

Habba then ridiculed the congresswoman for working as a bartender, declaring, “You were in the bar. You were in a bar. You were in a bar, AOC. Calm down. And not to have a drink, to serve one.”

“Exactly,” replied Hannity, laughing.

In 2020, Hannity’s Fox News colleague Laura Ingraham received backlash after she also ridiculed “the Doctor of Mixology” for her bartending past.

“You know, ever since I got elected, Republicans have attacked me by saying that I should go back to bartending,” said Ocasio-Cortez during a speech at the Democratic National Convention in August. “But, let me tell you. I’m happy to any day of the week because there is nothing wrong with working for a living.”
