U.S. Ambassador To Libya Killed

Breaking news this morning out of Libya: Chris Stevens (pictured here), the United State’s ambassador to that nation, has been killed along with three other staffers in a rocket attack targeting Stevens’ car in Benghazi.

Protesters are reported to have fired gunshots and rocket-propelled grenades, angered over an English-language film produced by an Israeli filmmaker living in California. The film, which ridiculed the Muslim prophet Muhammad and labeled him a fraud, inspired protests yesterday.

Twenty attackers stormed the U.S. consulate, burning down at least one building. The United States is now evacuating Americans working with the state department in that city.
