Watch Kellyanne Conway Say ‘There’s No Reason to Attack’ Kavanaugh Accuser Minutes Before Trump Attacked Her
It seems the White House has a mixed messaging issue when it comes to Christine Blasey Ford‘s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.
Throughout the week, Senior Presidential Advisor Kellyanne Conway has insisted that Ford should be given a chance to be heard, not smeared or ignored outright. Indeed, when Conway spoke to reporters today about whether its a bad idea to attack Ford’s credibility, she said Trump doesn’t need anyone to tell him that and “there’s no reason to attack her.”
Apparently, the president disagrees.
Multiple media figures noted that just minutes after Conway finished speaking to reporters, President Donald Trump went on the attack through Twitter, questioning Ford’s claims and asking why she never spoke to law enforcement about Kavanaugh allegedly assaulting her. Trump seemed to head in this direction last night when he spoke to Fox News’ Sean Hannity and asked why Ford didn’t contact the FBI 36 years ago.
