President Barack Obama will make a statement on the Ferguson grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

UPDATE — 10:18 p.m. ET: “We are a nation built on the rule of law, so we need to accept this decision was the grand jury’s to make,” the president said before quoting the words of Michael Brown, Sr. who said, “No matter what the grand jury decides, I do not want my son’s death to be in vain.”
“In too many parts of this country, a deep distrust exists between law enforcement and communities of color,” Obama added. “This is not just an issue for Ferguson. This is an issue for America.”
