WATCH: Ron Burgundy Surprises Justin Bieber at Comedy Central Roast
In a surprise for everyone in attendance at the taping, but not so much for those of us watching at home Monday night, Will Ferrell showed up at the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber in character as Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy.
Unlike the other roasters, Burgundy told Bieber to “turn up the heat” on his scandalous antics. “This kid has spunk , moxie and probably a few other STDs,” he said. “I’ve always encouraged people to stay classy. And what’s more classy than hanging out with (controversial boxer) Floyd Mayweather? Would I love to see Biebs spending time with Oscar Pistorious? Of course I would. That day will come.”
Following Burgundy’s appearance, Bieber closed out the show with a few jokes before turning unexpectedly serious.
“There’s been moments I’m really proud of and a lot of moments I look back and I’m pretty disappointed with myself for,” the 21-year-old pop star said. “But the things that I’ve done really don’t define who I am. I’m a kind-hearted person who loves people and, through it all, lost some of my best qualities. For that, I’m sorry.”
