Woman Dragged Back Into Captivity by Sex Trafficker, Horrifying Footage Shows
A horrifying case of alleged sex trafficking in Texas was cracked after harrowing surveillance footage from a neighbor’s Ring Doorbell camera recorded a screaming woman being dragged back into captivity by a man after she’d escaped.
The man, 22-year-old undocumented migrant Jose Armando Carcamo-Perdomo, was arrested earlier this month and charged with aggravated kidnapping and assault.
Harris County authorities say Carcamo-Perdomo held a Chinese migrant woman captive in his trailer for nearly a week, sexually assaulting her and tying her up in a locked closet.
“She tried to leave, but this defendant carried her back inside the residence without her consent,” a Harris County judge stated.
The woman, reportedly lured from New York to Houston with a fake job offer, had her passport seized and was allegedly denied food and water.
Video from a neighbor’s security camera showed the woman kicking and screaming for help as Carcamo-Perdomo carried her in a bear-hug grip. A barking dog and the woman’s cries prompted a neighbor to call 911, mistaking it for a child abduction.
Police arrived to find the woman “bound by her hands” and locked behind a closet door that had been screwed shut.
“They were able to rip that piece of wood off and open the door,” said Lieutenant John Klafka of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “She had some type of object like a sock or something that was used to bound her hands.”
Despite overwhelming evidence, Carcamo-Perdomo denied knowing the woman. Authorities believe he is not the only party involved and that the incident may be tied to a broader trafficking network.
Carcamo-Perdomo first entered the U.S. illegally in 2020. Though issued a notice to appear, his immigration case was dismissed in 2023.
Homeland Security responded to the story with a blistering statement vowing a crackdown.
“LAW AND ORDER WILL PREVAIL!” the department posted on X.
The woman is now receiving medical care as investigators widen the probe.
