WATCH: Small Plane Collides With Skydiver’s Parachute

From the “Amazing That No One Was Killed” file, a small Cessna plane collided with the parachute of a landing skydiver, sending both falling objects for a loop.

87-year-old pilot Shannon Trembly was doing “touch and go” drills, in which a plane lands and then takes off, in his one-engine plane. Just as he lifted off from the ground, however, skydiver John Frost was trying to land himself. Trembly’s plane cut through the parachute, hurtling Frost across the field, before the plane crashed into the ground nose-first, and then went tumbling toward Frost, nearly crushing him.

Both men escaped with only minor injuries.
