WATCH: Stolen School Bus Takes Police on Wild Chase

A stolen school bus led police in Fort Bend County, Texas on a wild high speed chase that ended with the large vehicle slamming into a squad car and the driver being arrested.

The chase, caught on A&E’s Live PD, showed a number of police squad cars pursuing the bus as it swerved wildly from one side of the road to the other.

“Do we know if there’s kids on the bus, or no?” an officer can be heard over the radio inside Fort Bend Sheriffs Department Dep. Justin Cloud’s car. “We believe so,” another officer replies.

“The bus is refusing to stop,” Cloud says. “Driver with no lights on, it looks to be like he’s a young white male, possibly 16-years-old.”

“He’s violently swerving,” one officer says, as the bus slams through a barrier and its back door flings open.

“I can’t see any kids in the bus it looks like it’s just him,” Cloud says, before the bus makes a dangerous swerve into oncoming traffic. The bus eventually crashes into a police car before coming to a halt on the highway shoulder. Officers rush over to the bus with their guns drawn and take the driver out through the window and put him in handcuffs.

Cloud said that the driver will be charged with evading and aggravated assault on public servants. The bus, it later turned out, was stolen from a church.
