Wendy Williams passed out on live television today after suffering a heat flash during her Halloween special.
Williams was dressed up as the Statue of Liberty for the celebratory occasion, and she managed to get through most of her show without any incident. However, in what should have been the final segment of today’s airing, Williams abruptly stopped speaking, staggered around for a few seconds, then crumpled to the floor.
The show abruptly cut away, and after an extensive commercial break, Williams returned and talked about what happened:
“That was not a stunt,” she said. “I’m overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But, you know what, I’m a champ, and I’m back.”
