WH Spox Gets Heated as Wolf Blitzer Grills Him on Cohen: Americans Who ‘Don’t Work for CNN’ Don’t Care

White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah appeared on CNN tonight and Wolf Blitzer wasted no time in grilling him over all the stunning news about Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

Blitzer asked if Cohen continues to be Trump’s lawyer, given this investigation.

Shah said at one point there’s been “no finding of wrongdoing” yet and he and his attorney can speak to that better, before getting back to emphasizing “no collusion.”

As Blitzer brought up the seized documents in the Cohen case, but Shah jumped in to say, “I’m here to talk on behalf of the White House. We have a lot of issues, a lot of big issues confronting this country.”

Blitzer continued anyway, asking about how the President views the Cohen investigation in the context of the special counsel’s investigation. Shah said the President sees this entire thing as a “witch hunt,” reiterating “no collusion” again.

The questions on Cohen continued and Shah finally said this when asked if the White House is cooperating:

“You’re asking the same question 30 different ways. What I can tell you is that Michael Cohen and his attorney can respond to questions about Michael Cohen. I’m her to talk about the other issues that everybody of the 300 million Americans that don’t work for CNN actually care about.”

“I know you’re getting frustrated, I totally understand,” Blitzer responded.

“You’re asking the same question over and over again!” Shah said. “Please ask me a different question!”
