Why Does This Congressman Keep Winking and Flirting with a C-SPAN Camera?

Sometime during the middle of a congressional floor speech about the TSA last week, Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) slipped behind his colleague and affixed his smoldering gaze to C-SPAN’s camera 3.

Watchers suddenly found themselves aroused and/or severely disturbed by Rep. Harris’s repeated winking, and ABC counted at least three instances in which he “teas[es] an admirer watching the congressman’s every move on C-SPAN.” And then, quietly, he slips out of the frame.

Since Harris’s wife of thirty years recently passed, it raises the question: Who is the recipient of this sexually-charged morse code? Says ABC:

Shelby Hodgkins, Harris’ communications director, revealed it was another woman close to the congressman’s heart.

“His mother watches for him on C-SPAN,” Hodgkins explained, “and gets a kick out of seeing him on TV.”

…okay, this is now just creepy.
