You Can Thank Dr. Phil for Megyn Kelly’s TV Career
Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly revealed this week that the person most responsible for her career in journalism is TV psychologist Phil McGraw, a.k.a. Dr. Phil
Kelly made the admission during a Q&A at the Fortune Most Powerful Women in Business conference in California on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.
“Back in the day when I was unhappily married and unhappily working, I heard a brilliant man by the name of Dr. Phil say, ‘The only thing between you and someone you envy is that you settled for less,’” she said. Kelly added that it, “changed my life.”
Before taking a low-paying job in local TV news, Kelly was a lawyer. She joined Fox News in 2004.
