Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President Harris’ in Vaccine Speech

President Joe Biden experienced a verbal mishap on Thursday when he attempted to reference his vice president.

“Now, when President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that tour — injecting people, giving vaccinations, said that each shot was like administering a dose of hope,” Biden said in remarks delivered from the White House.

He was delivering the address to highlight the nearly 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine that have been delivered to Americans to date. Vice President Kamala Harris was standing outside of the camera’s frame when Biden delivered the gaffe.

Biden, 78, made a similar mistake in December, when he was talking about publicly taking the vaccine. “I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine,” Biden said at the time. “President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason.”
