‘Did You Violate The Gag Order Just Now?’ Reporter Grills Trump After Rant Attacking Witness and Prosecutor Outside Courtroom

A reporter grilled former President Donald Trump minutes after he attacked former fixer-turned-star witness Michael Cohen, asking “Did you violate the gag order just now?”

Trump was in court once again Wednesday for his trial in the fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James and presided over by Judge Arthur Engoron. Also in court — for a second day — was Cohen.

Just before Trump entered the courtroom, he spoke to reporters on a variety of topics, including a brief and familiar rant about the charges against him and Cohen.

Trump later emerged from the courtroom and went on a several-minute rant attacking Cohen, the prosecutor, and the fraud trial itself. Then, as Trump emerged with his lawyers to go back into court, a reporter shouted to him about the gag order, while another asked about another bombshell witness from a different case— former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows:

REPORTER: Mr. President, what do you think of the testimony of Michael Cohen?

DONALD TRUMP: Well he’s been proven to be a liar. Very loudly and clearly who is a felon, convicted felon for lying, went to jail for lying. And this is their only witness.

When you think about it, it’s really amazing. We’ve proven that the numbers that they talk about is much higher than they ever imagined. They don’t really know what to do because the numbers are much higher. It’s not even the same.

(responds at length)

… Thank you very much.

(several minutes later)

REPORTER: President Trump, Do you have any advice for Mark Meadows?

REPORTER 2: President Trump, did you violate the gag order just now?

Judge Engoron’s gag order prohibiting Trump from attacking the court’s staff — which was prompted by another Trump Truth Social post in which he attacked the judge’s principal law clerk — has already cost Trump $5,000.00 in fines and a threat of imprisonment from the judge.
