Fox News Spends 20 Solid Minutes On Trump Photo Op With Delirious Fans At Construction Site — Ends With Vomit Story

Fox News spent twenty solid minutes covering former President Donald Trump’s early-morning photo op with screaming fans at a construction site, wrapping up with banter about vomiting in the back seats of station wagons.

Thursday was a packed day for Trump, with Trump’s trial on 34 felony counts of allegedly falsifying business records to pay off porn star Stormy Daniels continuing in New York and his Supreme Court immunity hearing getting underway in Washington, DC.

Trump began the day with an early-morning campaign stop at a construction site, where he signed autographs and mingled with delirious fans, took questions from a few reporters, repeated many familiar themes, and then headed to the courthouse.

On Thursday’s  edition of Fox & Friends, the show’s co-hosts were joined by live on-the-spot correspondent Alexis McAdams to cover every minute of the stop with banter, Trump campaign statements, occasional snippets of Trump fielding questions, and that offbeat station wagon discourse.

A sampling:

BRIAN KILMEADE: Alexis McAdams is live. Alexis, I hope you’re in a secure location and not the middle of the street anymore because we have a caravan there.

ALEXIS MCADAMS: The former president has just pulled up to this midtown Manhattan construction site. You can see that motorcade there also on your screen.

The former president is expected here to meet with union workers. I’m just going to step out of the way to speak and have just kind of a double shot here of what’s going on so I can turn around to and see. But this just came right from Trump Tower.

ALEXIS MCADAMS: So it’s about just a couple of minutes away here and he’s going to talk here about New York City and quality of life issues. They say that everyday Americans are dealing with. The Trump team tells us “These union workers who are here to talk to the president are paying the price of failed economic policies currently in the country.”.

So the president wants to talk with these people to gain their support. These are Hard-Working New Yorkers, okay. Union members who have been working on this big construction site here in midtown Manhattan near Trump Tower. And let’s just take a listen to what the crowd saying.

TRUMP FANS: WE LOVE TRUMP! WE LOVE TRUMP! WE LOVE TRUMP!

BRIAN KILMEADE: Alexis, how big is this crowd? I heard the USA chants. They seem to go about 10-15 deep.

ALEXIS MCADAMS: Yeah, there’s a few hundred people here just right in the front. And then I don’t know if we can kind of, also as well, I’ll just kind of duck down here so we can see. But, you know, right above on this construction site, there are people too, who are working on this specific project that have their cameras out and they’re trying to catch a glimpse of the former president. Yeah. People have their union, their union uniforms on here, and they also have their hardhats with, Trump stickers. So it’s kind of not, you know, different vibe for 6 a.m. here in Midtown.

DONALD TRUMP: This is a love fest. I built many buildings with them. They’re great people, great great contractors and great people. And, I have a lot of support. I hear the Teamsters. You know, I’ve done a lot of work with Teamsters. I built a lot of buildings with the Teamsters, and they like me, a lot of teachers here. And it’s an amazing show of affection. But we did a great show.

ALEXIS MCADAMS: How important is the union vote? And you’re here in New York City. You’re talking with these members. Do you think you can maybe change some of their minds if they were lifelong Democrats to vote for you?

DONALD TRUMP: I think these maybe were Democrats, but for me, they’re a Republican. There’s not a Democrat in there. These are people. Look at that building. Look what we can do. We built a lot of great buildings in the city with these people, and, they’ve given me great support. They’re really, amazing.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: Alexis, can you paint the picture? I know he’s taking it. That’s cute. Can you paint the picture of what it looks like? I know we want to keep the camera on Donald Trump, but what is that? Did they block off the street?

AINSLEY EARHARDT: Alexis, we just saw a lady with Secret Service get in the back, and it looks like she’s sitting just in the back seat so that she can watch traffic from behind. Looks like Trump’s SUV is taking off.

CHARLIE HURT: That’s definitely the worst seat.

BRIAN KILMEADE: It was the 1970s. They used to have that reverse third row. Yeah.

AINSLEY EARHARDT: Right? In my mom’s station wagon?

BRIAN KILMEADE: Right there. I don’t think they have that anymore.

CHARLIE HURT: And you would throw up on one another. If you were the kid, right?

BRIAN KILMEADE: Because, you know, they found out later when they did a safety study. That was one of the worst things that you could do.

But, I guess they’re going to have a pretty– if they’re going to get to court early. It looks like they’re going to go up the FDR drive.
