Adam Kinzinger Denounces GOP Fear-Mongering Over Vax Mandates

The online slap fight between Liz Cheney (R) and Ted Cruz (R) kept going on Saturday when Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) hopped into the fray with the Texas senator.

As Cruz comes off of his war against Sesame Street’s attempts to promote public health, he wound up in a Twitter fight when he went after her over a recent segment from CNN. Jake Tapper was speaking to his panel on The Lead about whether there’s any room for Cheney to launch a bid for the White House, and Cruz seized on that in order to snark that Cheney’s only chance is to switch parties:

Cheney has been splintered from the Republican Party for months because of her refusal to fall in line behind Donald Trump, and because of her attempts to hold the former president accountable for the storming of the Capitol carried out by his supporters. In any event, Cheney noticed Cruz’s insult, and she didn’t take it lying down:

Cheney is one of only two Republicans sitting on the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Attack. Kinzinger, her committee colleague, backed her up later on by tweeting this at Cruz:

Cruz’s response:

Kinzinger replied by accusing Cruz of “squandering” his position of leadership, and he wondered who has the most political regrets between them in the back of their heads.

Finally, Swalwell got in on this by reminding Kinzinger of how Cruz fell in line behind Trump, even after the former president slandered and personally insulted his family:
