Lindsey Graham Gives Brutal One Word Take On Trump Debate Performance: ‘Disaster’

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) summed up his feelings on former President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night presidential debate performance in one word: “disaster.”

The senior ranking Republican spoke to The Bulwark’s Tim Miller in the spin room after the night, which was dominated by sharp exchanges. Miller added that Graham also said Trump appeared unprepared and recommended the former president fire his debate team.

According to commentators across the political spectrum Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the clear winner of the debate in Philadelphia as Trump struggled to land his usual punches as Harris baited her opponent, leaving many questioning his strategy.

One of the evening’s most bizarre moments came when Trump claimed migrants were eating people’s pets in Springfield, Ohio, repeating an online MAGA talking point in a claim quickly dismissed by ABC’s moderator David Muir.

As a conservative, the senator was not alone in his take.

“Let’s make no mistake. Trump had a bad night,” Brit Hume said on Fox News. “We just heard so many of the old grievances that we all know aren’t winners politically.”

Likewise, Republican and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie told ABC News: “Whoever prepared Donald Trump should be fired. He was not good tonight at all.”
