A College Student Made Jimmy Fallon a Rap Video to Get an Internship, and it Worked
College students, it’s time to step your game up because this kid has set a new bar for internship applications. Jake Sirianni, a student at Washington State University, was after an internship on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon so to stand out, he made a rap video.
In 2014, Daniel Radcliffe impressed viewers by rapping Blackalicious’ “Alphabet Aerobics,” so Sirianni made his own version detailing his desire to get on the show. At the beginning of the song he said, “Here’s my declaration: Dedicated, diligent and driven / Looking for an intern? Well, I recommend you listen / Cause editing’s my gift, entertainment is my craft / Put two and two together and you’ve got yourself some popular math…ematics.”
The song is pretty great and the video is impressive. Jimmy Fallon agreed. Yesterday, the show’s Twitter account tweeted at Sirianni telling him to watch that night:
Hey @JakeSirianni #WSU, we saw your video! Check out the show tonight. https://t.co/ymQOJUqXqj

And, he offered him the job.
