Abrams Media Announces New Editorial Director John Vorwald

Abrams Media is proud to announce the hiring of John Vorwald as the company’s new editorial director.

This marks Abrams Media’s first executive editorial hire overseeing all the Abrams’ web properties including: Mediaite, Gossip Cop, Geekosystem, Styleite, The Mary Sue, The Jane Dough, and The Braiser. Vorwald’s new role will guide the development of the sites into a unified network.

In addition to his most recent experience as deputy editor-in-chief at ARTINFO, Vorwald has served as managing editor at the The New York Observer and at WNET (Thirteen.org). He is also a former editorial director at BlackBook Media (BlackBook Guides). John’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Observer, BlackBook, and Nymag.com.
