Actress Emily Ratajkowski Defends Melania Trump After She Claims NYT Journo Referred to Her as ‘Hooker’

Emily Ratajkowski knows what it feels like to be slut-shamed. She had to deal with an onslaught of critical comments after appearing the video for Robin Thicke‘s controversial single “Blurred Lines” and when she bared her chest in Gone Girl, her character’s body and sexuality were disparaged by the other female lead. She’s gotten good at vocalizing her objection to objectification, as shown when she clapped back at Tim Gunn for criticizing a plunging outfit she wore. The pinned tweet at the top of her Twitter profile is even one referencing “women choosing when and how they want to share their sexuality and bodies,” so it’s clear that the Bernie Sanders supporter is a feminist who believes in bodily autonomy and the eradication of archaic ideas about women’s bodies and behavior.

She claims to have sat near a male reporter for the New York Times who referred to the First Lady as “a hooker.”

This comes after Melania Trump recently sued both The Daily Mail and a Maryland blogger for making “false” claims that she worked as a high-end escort.

Ratajkowski next tweet was one highlighting an all-pink outfit she wore to benefit Planned Parenthood. Her politics are obviously liberal, but her dedication to the defense of women against sexism and misogynistic attacks is bipartisan.
