Adam Levine Hated the MTV VMAs Until He Got to Perform at One

While we’re still coming down from the terrible high known as “watching the MTV Video Music Awards,” let’s all share one final laugh together.

ICYMI: Pop music’s resident bro-who-acts-like-life-is-an-Axe-bodyspray-commercial Adam Levine performed with his mom-rock band Maroon 5 during Sunday night’s awards show.

Several weeks ago, Levine showed just how excited he was about this upcoming gig:

But here’s the funny part. Levine — who is also famous for saying he was promiscuous because he just loves women so much — once revealed his true feelings about the awards show three years ago:

Now that he got invited to perform at the tween-bop fest, seems his opinion has changed.
