American Apparel Apologizes for Sharing Picture of Challenger Explosion
Happy 4th of July! Here’s a photo of the Challenger explosion!… wait, that’s not right. Well, apparently, whoever was in charge of American Apparel’s Tumblr page today made that rather cringeworthy mistake.
Apparently American Apparel's tumblr uploaded a picture of the Challenger explosion… http://t.co/hAA6UrCrbV pic.twitter.com/tATqGjevxg

Obviously, that did not go over well online, and American Apparel was forced to issue an apology.
With our sincerest apologies: pic.twitter.com/BOF43jScV0

“We deeply apologize for today’s Tumblr post of the Space Shuttle Challenger. The image was re-blogged in error by one of our international social media employees who was born after the tragedy and was unaware of the event. We sincerely regret the insensitivity of that selection and the post has been deleted.”
Well, that’s new, blaming it on someone who wasn’t born before something happened, it’s not like there’s some sort of repository for checking information about things that happened before you were born…
