And the Winner of the Kentucky Derby Is…

California Chrome has won the 2014 Kentucky Derby. According to The Washington Post, there were 5-2 odds on California Chrome to win.

California Chrome beat out other horses like Vicar’s in Trouble, Uncle Sigh, We Miss Artie, Dance with Fate, Intense Holiday, Commanding Curve, and Wicked Strong. (Sidenote: there’s also a horse named General A Rod, named after the colt’s original owner and not the steroid-using Yankee.)
