Two men identifying themselves as pilots on the helicopter Brian Williams now-infamously flew in have already disputed his version of events, and now a third pilot is speaking out about what he says happened.
Alan Kelly tells the Star Tribune, “Whatever Brian Williams may or may not be guilty of or what he may or may not have said, that’s a reflection on him. It doesn’t have anything to do with me.” He doesn’t want to pile on Williams, he says he just wants the truth to be told.
Kelly says he was one of three pilots on the helicopter, which did not take enemy fire, nor did the one “just ahead of them.” But they eventually got emergency radio calls that another helicopter had been shot at.
Kelly had also spoken out two days ago on CNN’s Reliable Sources, providing more detail about the circumstances surrounding the events of that day. You can watch that video here, via CNN:
