Now that Ann Coulter isn’t going to Berkeley, everybody has an opinion to share.
That includes Rob Schneider, the man you may know from Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and The Hot Chick, among others. He tweeted this, yesterday:
UC Berkeley, after your done eliminating speech you don’t like & words you don’t like what’s next?
Maybe add burning books to the curriculum
— Rob Schneider (@RobSchneider) April 26, 2017
If this seems like a departure from the norm for the former Saturday Night Live cast mate, you haven’t been paying attention!
In 2013, he announced he was leaving the Democratic party because of the ways he perceived it as a failure in California. The next year, he warned of a “mob mentality” that would lead to American “fascism” if left unchecked. His ideas about the rise of censorship and mob rule and the decline of free speech couldn’t have been helped by the fact that when he shared his anti-vaccine beliefs, he had a State Farm ad yanked from the air.
Honestly, does this surprise you?
