A couple caught red-handed as they canoodled during a Coldplay concert this week has been the subject of numerous memes and X posts, days after their apparent affair was exposed.
It all started Wednesday night, as Coldplay performed at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. At one point, the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin, decided to shout out some couples in the audience and displaying them on the stadium’s big screen.
What followed was an extremely awkward moment when the camera turned to a couple locked in an embrace who, once they realized they were on being filmed, quickly separated and tried to hide their faces.
“All right, come on!” Martin said.”You’re OK! Uh-oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. We’re not quite sure.”
A TikTok video of the moment was recorded that night, and submitted to the eternal hall of internet infamy.
By the next day, the couple in question was identified as Andy Byron, the CEO of tech company Astronomer, and the company’s human resources chief, Kristin Cabot.
Two days later, the internet continues to light up with X posts and memes.
Even rapper 50 Cent couldn’t resist getting in on the situation, sharing an AI-generated video of “what he wish he could have done.”
