Avril Lavigne Wants the Nickelback ‘Bullying’ to Stop

shutterstock_139127033Singer Avril Lavigne has had quite enough of the “Nickelback is terrible” jokes, and in a recent message which she posted to her Twitter account, she slams Mark Zuckerberg for bullying the band.

Recently, Zuckerberg made Jarvis, an AI assistant, and he posted a YouTube video Tuesday to promote it. In the video, he asks Jarvis to play good Nickelback songs. Jarvis, voiced by Morgan Freeman replies saying, “I’m afraid I can’t do that. There are no good Nickelback songs.”

“Good. That was actually a test,” Zuckerberg says.

That did not sit well with Lavigne, who posted a message on Twitter imploring the Facebook founder to “be more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what’s going on in the world today.” She included the hashtags #SayNoToBullying, #TheJokeIsOld, and #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums.

Lavigne and Chad Kroeger, the band’s frontman got married in 2013. They separated in 2015.
