Belgium Police Detain Six More in NYE Terror Plot

Police in Belgium detained six more people in connection with the New Year’s Eve terror plot that cancelled the country’s traditional midnight fireworks display, The Huffington Post reports.

The suspects were detained during home raids conducted as part of an investigation into the NYE terror plot. Two Belgium nationals were arrested earlier this week for allegedly planning an ISIS-inspired attack on the Belgium capital, Brussels.

Brussels has been on high alert ever since the Paris terrorist attacks, indicating possible and probable threats. Police have conducted hundreds of raids in connection with the Nov. 13 massacre, leading to the arrest of roughly two dozen individuals and the confiscation of 30 weapons.
