Boston Mayor Tries to Move the Nation Beyond One Direction Catastrophe
Our long national nightmare continues. That’s right, folks, Zayn Malik has left One Direction and the entire internet has melted into a puddle of woe and despair. The tears, the all-caps rants, the insufferable “now it’s two directions” puns! Mass hysteria.
Luckily, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has emerged as a leader, a brave public figure who will show us the way out of this calamity.
Walsh held a Twitter Q&A yesterday and was asked perhaps the most important thing ever:
.@marty_walsh Why have you not yet released an official statement on the Zayn Malik situation? #AskMJW
— Caroline Holland (@choll12) March 25, 2015
And boy did he have an answer for us:
.@choll12 We are all devastated about Zayn Malik but we must soldier on #ASKMJW

Soldier on, indeed, sir.
